One of the happiest days of my life..

7.8.15

nine years ago i had one of the happiest days of my life. and in this day is always inevitable to remember the whirlwind of emotions that was that night. in a city alone, with your father, but away from family and other support. contractions began early in the morning getting worse in the evening. painless yet, but uncomfortable. they were getting stronger and less frequent. until, when i started to lose liquid we decided to go to hospital. calmly we continue to control the contractions in the car. as we crossed the bridge Vasco da Gama i just thought "today I will finally see your face and hold your little hands." we were in the waiting room in the hospital. the nerves began to tighten. and with nerves the contractions getting worse. when we went to the hospital room something in me changed .. and i felt less optimistic. especially when I saw the nurse look worryingly at the CTG machine. i ate all the candy advised but you were not into it. until deliberately they broke my the waters and it was confirmed. you were not well and were showing fetal distress. emergency c-section. your father couldn't enter. I went into survival-mode-stay-strong-for-your-baby. but in the delivery room and already after the epidural tears began to fall uncontrollably. this was not the birth that i imagined. that no mother imagine. quickly gave up that dream to the desire of my baby be okay. to come healthy. somehow the anesthesiologist saw my expression and was on my side of the curtain. held my hand and described me (without details) what was going on. after a few minutes i heard the doctor saying "what a big baby!" i did not hear you cry right away. i was worried. they cleaned you up and examined you and what seemed like hours later i heard your cry. then the tears that came out of me were of joy. i was hearing your voice in the distance. so i wanted to see you. before they took you to the incubator (just in case) they brought you close to my face, where i saw you, smelled and kissed you. no matter how much time passes i'll never forget that feeling. i had never touched anything so soft as your face. just wanted to be fixed quickly. i wanted to be by your side. i wanted to hold you. i want to meet you. it was only when i went to the recovery room that appropriate presentations were made. mom, dad and baby. the rest is history. and the history today remains a wonderful adventure. i am loving to meet the person you're turning to. the goodness you carry in your heart. the sensitivity that you have inherited me. your ambitions. your dreams for your life and I want to teach you that you can achieve anything by working hard and never giving up. whether in a job, whether in love. it is not always easy, and years will come when the hormones will make it even harder. but we are ready for the journey.
I love you so much Kiko.
