Grandpa's, Lemons and Morgan Freeman...

4.4.16

We are reforming my grandparent's house. Specifically the garden. Seeing the house so empty gives me chills inside. I never liked changes. They may end up good but I always resist to change. There 's no one to take care of the garden, there is no one to take care for the chickens (buáá no more fresh eggs), so a garden with a lawn and flowers of little maintenance, it will be. Rooted just like us it will be forever there the lemon trees, the orange, passionfruit, and avocado.
I know we still gonna do a lot of good memories in the new lawn with the younger generation. Many dinner parties, a lot of laughs. But it will never be the same. I miss the sense of humor of my grandfather. His thick hands and the way to show his affection was always to tickle so hard that the urge to laugh brushed with the pain of getting all bruised. It was so with all his grandchildren. And for them he did everything. I miss him. This pain impossible to cure. Even with time.
Yesterday my eldest son insisted he wanted to watch the new Morgan Freeman's program on National Geographic - "History of God." Yesterday's theme was life after death. I found the subject too ... complicated, so thankfully he fell asleep soon. But I watched it. Because for me, that man could even read the label of a medicine that i would found it fascinating. The program speaks of the existence of the soul, something of us that endures beyond the body. Our eagerness that there is something beyond what we know is common to all faiths and religions.

"Their memories continue to guide us, although their life on earth has ended."
Nothing more accurate.
