Grocery Day..

18.3.16

Sexta-feira.
Tenho quem me queira empurrar o carrinho, claro que sim.
A cabeça limpa e disponível.

Friday. Grocery's day. I'm trying to make a more organized meal planning and that lasts for more days. I hate shopping on the weekends. First because it's much more complicated to make them with the boys around my legs and then it's a lot more people. So now I have all weekend's meals planned.
I was in the supermarket when I see couples (yes, more than one) of seniors doing their shopping as well. Couples in their late 60's, 70's. The woman typically with her arm around her husband, pushing the cart. She asks with an affectionate, familiar voice, "do you want to buy your coffee today?"
And why this affects me? Because I had no one to ask me if I wanted my coffee. I had no one to ask if he wanted his coffee. If anything I have two kids asking if they can take Invizimal's cards, several times in the same minute with many "Pleases" to the mixture. There is no one to push me the cart. At most I have a kid of 25 kilos inside and another outside whimpering because it was his turn to go inside. This while trying to take a water jug of those plastic impossible to tear.
When i was weighing the lettuce and a lady appears in her 70's (everyone in their 70's decided to shop today?) asking for help because she couldn't read the codes, and because.. "I don't understand anything about this, little girl .." Of course I weighed her lettuce and there she went murmuring something probably about the price of the vegetables .. and I thought:"ok .. maybe this will be me in a few years."
I have someone that wants to push me the cart, of course. But I'm at a stage or age don't know which of the two, that I don't feel like "put up with" something that would add nothing to my life. You don't fix a hole with sand. It doesn't solve anything and only makes a mess.
If i want someone to push me the cart? Of course. Who says they're okay alone perhaps are not being completely honest with themselves. No human is ok being alone. But I don't search for it. And this being the need, I push the cart very well alone and with two children inside.
I take all this with a good sense of humor. I tell these stories to my friends and we laughed together. And I laugh exactly for this reason. Because I know they are there. Because my family is there. Because my ex-partner is there. I push the cart alone but it's all behind me encouraging me and supporting me. Because my children are healthy. Because everything is relativized. Because it is possible to build and rebuild our lives (as many times as necessary) after a project failure. Because yes .. everything is possible.
For those who give me feedback saying that they think I'm brave. I am brave because I have this support system. And because we all have this courage in us, although it's difficult digging it sometimes.
And that question I often do to my friends and even more times to myself: can we live a new love?
Examples around me say yes. Books, movies, all say yes. It's necessary to mature and realize that nothing is repeated twice. And not a love. You can live a new a love but will always be different. And if we let go of expectations and be receptive .. anything can happen.
An open heart to life. Clean and available head.
Having said that, my head is currently in this project that is not new but is being renovated. I believe it and I hope that comes to life as soon as possible and that you like it.
As for the rest, I'm buying Invizimal's cards instead of coffee. And I'm very happy.
